Corner Cottage, Frostenden
Relax in the tranquil Suffolk countryside with all the attractions of Southwold close at hand. Corner Cottage has a wonderfully peaceful location down leafy country lanes, yet is just 8 minutes by car from Southwold.
Frostenden Corner is a sleepy Suffolk hamlet which almost slipped ‘off the radar’ when the local brickworks and the village shop, housed in what is now Corner Cottage’s kitchen, closed in the 1930s. But Frostenden Corner’s history goes back a lot further. There is a Bronze Age earthworks and evidence has been found of a Viking quay nearby. There is a thatched 16th century house and a Georgian merchant’s house amongst the pretty cottages.
The spacious house is fully equipped for family holidays with an outdoor table tennis table, badminton net and swingball. Step out of the front door and choose from a variety of pretty country walks or join the Suffolk Coastal path which passes the house.
